i believe that i did manage my time right for all these tasks but if i had managed them better i would have been able to save more time and possibly have been able to finish before the christmas and new years holidays. in week four i only completed the proposal form and did nothing else and this was a massive waste of time looking back and i know that if i had done at least the first draft of animatic first that i could of justified that i had done some good work that week.
in terms of my work i believe that i did good and that i did it successfully enough to be able to justify my movie and that i can definitely film and make my movie in the semesters to come.

WORK COMPLETED!!!!!!!!!!!
6/01/14 - 13/01/14
i came back from the christmas and new years holidays, refreshed and charged, ready to finish editing my final animatic, this took me a few days and when it was completed i knew that it was perfect in showcasing the plot, its shots and my skills in editing with the keyframes running perfectly as the video played. once i converted the video to quicktime form after effects i began to collect all my work so as to have it ready for submission on the 13/01/14.

9/12/13 - 16/11/13
This week i breathed a sigh of relief as i was finally done with all my research. every visual effect, shot character and location was explained to its fullest and it showed ultimately that i was under control of my movie and that i would be able to do it if everything went to plan. as i was done with the majority of my work i took the rest of the week off as christmas and new years holiday was coming an i had more than enough time to get the rest of the work done. i decided to watch more horror films to get myself into the state of mind needed to film the movie and to expand my knowledge on how to make a scene atmospheric and to give it the right feeling that i wanted to portray onto my audience. with my final animatic i had now finished editing most of it and every key frame and shot was working perfectly and smoothly with no black screen in between any shot or shot appearing on top of another shot during the animatic playback.

Now all i had to do was rearrange my final draft of the animatic in after effects which i have to say was the favourite part of this course as i enjoy editing and creating a visual form of media by this manner. i could relax slightly now as i had two weeks to proof read all my work but the research still could, and did, take up a lot of my time so i felt that it was best to work hard till all the work was done and checked multiple times.

I finally finished the first draft of my animatic this week and whilst watching watching the images combine to form a story in the video i gained new momentum and inspiration to begin my second draft of the animatic with better drawings (i had stick men before) and to integrate key framing into it to allow certain scenes to have movement like the sun setting in the second shot of the movie.

this week i finally finished my storyboards. after reviewing them again and again i was finally happy with them as i believe that they successfully showed off my story as fluidly, accurate and professional as possible. i had all the shots added and how many shots my film would be compromised off. due to concentrating so much on my storyboards however i slightly neglected the 1st draft of my animatic but now that i was complete with the storyboards i aimed to have the 1st draftt of the animatic done by the next week

this week i continued on my storyboards and animatic. i realised that my story board would be vastly important to the pre-production of my movie as it would act as one of my visual aids when actually filming the movie. i would tell me the exact shot needed and what would need to take place exactly in the scene. i personally think that my developing storyboard will be more useful to me than my animatic as it can be carried around and looked at any time while an animatic relies on having to be viewed electronically and this can be a problem especially if im in the middle of filming and the phone or tablets battery dies or if the animatic gets deleted accidentally from it .

Finally i completed my proposal, i researched fully how to do each visual effect, my characters, props and references to popular media that my film would be giving a nod towards in term of the inspiration given by said media. now that it was complete however i was able to commence work on my storyboards and animatic. i also concluded my script during this week.

this week was an important week as i commenced to work my proposal of the movie. i would have to cover EVERYTHING in the movie right down to the last detail and have the researched means to show that i knew what i was talking about, that i had the means to do it and that it was feasible to do, the proposal was very important to me as it was the first solo movie project i was attempting and knowing that everything relied on getting my proposal approved by my tutor was another pressure/ challenge on me. By starting to write out my proposal i was also able to start my script which i commenced when taking breaks from writing the proposal.

work on the proposal form commences!!!!!!... treatment complete!!!!!!
14/10/13-21/10/13
for week three i commenced working on my proposal form. i had to think hard about what exactly i wanted to have in my movie and once i had thought about it and decided what questions i would need to ask myself while designing and developing my movie and the plot, shots and sound i wanted in it I commenced to fill it out. i also finished the treatment this week and decided to make the film about four teenagers around an Ouija board in a graveyard, one child begins to play with the Ouija board when suddenly his eyes turn black and he begins to cry blood. One of the teenagers goes to help him but gets punched clean through the skull. The second teenager attempts to attack the demon teenager but gets his knife taken off him by the demon and gets stabbed through the stomach with the blade appearing out of his back spurting blood. The final teenagers who is a girl attempts to run away but is caught by the demon teenager and gets her skull ripped in half as the movie fades to black we see the demon teenager laugh. its a gore-filled movie with jump scares and i am really excited to commence further work on it.

For the first week i commenced work on my pre-production for my three minute movie. i began by commencing my research into what i wanted the movie to be visually, plot wise and sound wise. i decided to make a horror movie as the reason why i got into special effects was because of a horror movie and since then i have always wanted to become a horror movie technician. i decided to make my movie a paranormal type genre movie ad this genre utilises a lot of gore, jump scares and atmospheric terror to shock and scare the audience and this is exactly the effect i want to project onto my audience. After fully deciding that my film would definitely be a horror film. I then began to write the treatment for my film and i also began to research the characterisation of my cast and begin developing their personalities and character traits.
